1st Thanksgiving

This was Christopher's 1st Thanksgiving and ours with a baby! We spent Wednesday with my family making pies and had dinner with my family on Thanksgiving Day. My little siblings put on their traditional Thanksgiving play which was really funny and cute. Christopher even had a starring role as an Indian baby! lol! Unfornately, Chris had work with the Eagles on Thanksgiving and had to leave at 4pm :(

On Friday we went took the long trip to Lancaster with the baby and Duke for the 1st time. It wasn't that difficult, other than the part when we first got on the road and Christopher pooped through his clothes as usual. He goes to the Doctor's this week and I think I am going to talk to her about giving him baby rice cereal as a supplement once a day to help make his dirty diapers less runny. However, I worry about introducing a solid so early (he'll only be 3 mo). Anyway, we had lunch with Chris' Dad and visited his cousins later in the day (they hadn't seen the baby yet). It was such a busy day, long day for the baby.

We spent the night sleeping over Chris' Mom's house. On Saturday we went with his Mom to the King of Prussia mall to shop (fun) and had lunch at my fave place the Cheese Cake Factory. I was surprised by how good Christopher was at the mall, he pretty much slept the whole time. The only thing that was troublesome (to say the least) was finding a place to nurse. It's was ridulous. We tried the "family bathroom" and walked all around mall looking for a bathroom with a chair, seat or couch or something!!! Uggg...I guess they have taken them out of bathrooms for security/santiary reasons. It made things very stressful, walking around the mall with a crying baby.
We also saw Santa at the mall. The line was soooo long because only one person was there working and she was trying to do everything. Towards the end of the wait, Christopher was cranky, but we did get a good pic of all 3 of us with Santa. I was a little annoyed to see that he was barefoot in the pic! He kicked off his booties again! Barefooted babies/kids is a real pet peeve of mine. I hate it! All I can think of his how cold their feet must be. Oh, well.

We went to Mass in Lancaster on Sunday and then had brunch (yum) with Chris' Dad before heading home. Now there is much laundry...lol!

  3. I was a little worried about KOP and feeding time... what did you end up doing? I was thinking of sitting in the food court with a nursing cover.
