The Rest of the Story

If you've been reading my blog, you've heard of the trouble I've had with my parent's Christmas gift. Today I finally got some answers, but their disappointing. Here's a recap: I went to my local AC Moore who told me to contact the manufacturer, who told me to contact the AC Moore warehouse, who referred me to the Vendor of the chair. The vendor was really helpful. The reason I can't find a replacement chair is because it was discontinued about 2 years ago. The vendor was shocked I even had one of the old ones. They make a similar chair now and he gave me the name of a company who makes the chair for... $200 and $25 for shipping!!! So, I decided to take the broken chair back and wait till the spring when AC Moore restocks their rockers and hopefully they carry a similar looking chair. I'm so disappointed and really wish I never built the other chair. Oh well, my parent's should understand and can share the one rocker till warmer weather.
