Face Paint

Figured I try out some of my new "product" photography skills :0
If you're like me you don't have perfect skin and need to wear foundation. I don't wear it everyday, but use it a lot. I've tried many, many different kinds of foundation over the years, but never found the "one" for me. Either it was too heavy, had poor coverage, made my skin dry, break out, etc. The biggest problem was that it made my skin look shiny and greasy after an hour or so of wear. The make up geek raves about Revlon's Colorstay foundation. I've been running low on foundation for the last few months and looking to try something new (I was using L'Oreal's Mineral foundation which had poor coverage) and didn't want to spend a ton of money. I waited till the Colorstay went on sale (it did for $8!) and bought "Golden Beige" for Oily/Combination skin.
I'm in LOVE! It lasts ALL day with a perfect matte finish. My skin looks flawless! No blotting, shininess or greasy look at all. They have a lot of color choices too and the one I got matches my skin really well, no contrast line between my face and neck which always happened. Anyway just wanted to share that great drugstore (i.e. cheap) foundation does exist! The only thing that was different about this foundation is that it dries very quickly. You can only do one section at a time because it's not as workable (oily) as others.

  1. Hi! Stopping by from MBC. Great blog.
    Have a nice day!

  2. Sounds great! I'll have to give it a try. I just bought some stuff to try from MAC (under eye concealer and loose powder) I love the concealer but the powder makes my face look oily after a while. I usually hate using foundation (makes me want to claw my skin off, LoL) but I'll try something for $8. Thanks for the tip!

  3. yeah, i like MACs concealer but not their foundation. i also found it very oily. i can barely stand foundation either, but i have to wear it.
