Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had as wonderful a Thanksgiving as we did! We ate Thanksgiving dinner at my parent's house.
My mom made all the food like she normally does. My favorite is her stuffing.

My sisters and I made our traditional pies. I love the smell of fresh pies :) My mom made lemon meringue and it was amazing!
My sister and her fiance made apple :)
My mom did cherry too and hand weaved the crust.
She also did pecan pie and I loved that she even lined up the nuts!
One of my teenage sister's did chocolate mousse and there were a few more kinds I didn't get pictures of.
I did my favorite, pumpkin pie!
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I think because there's such a home and family connection to it, as well as that cozy aspect of being surrounded by people you love, good food and warm pie.
I know he's the cutest kid ever ;)
This little boy...I don't think it's humanly possible to get him to stay still for a second for a picture and don't even get me started about this picture (below)! Every time the kids would look, the dog would move...ugh. Oh well, this was the best I could do (and I know the lighting situation is a disaster, given we were late and running out the door).
I tried a new makeup look which you can find the video for here. Really liked it! Here's a better close up of the eyes, it's actually a green eyeshadow which I was worried about (I mean really how can that look good?), but I followed the instructions and gave it a try. I didn't use the purple lipstick she did, but went with a nude color instead like she suggested.
My siblings put on their annual Thanksgiving Day play and I was surprised that it was well done, a little rushed in some parts (I think they were excited) and Christopher kept trying to insert himself into the play.  Can you find him? :0
It was a great holiday. What are your family Thanksgiving traditions?

  1. Happy Thanksgiving! I loved seeing all these pictures of your beautiful day. Your family picture was such a perfect picture. I love your dress! I have been looking for a gold one myself, and it really caught my eye when I saw how pretty you looked. A very good color on you. ~LR
