Little Project that turned into a BIG one....

We had an extended weekend and kinda last minute I decided it would be a good chance to paint our upstairs hall bathroom (the kid's bathroom). It is a small bathroom and I already knew for awhile I wanted to paint it light yellow. It was only $25 for a can of paint and we had all the other supplies from our last painting job...seemed too easy.

However, it was quite an undertaking. There were so many tight corners, angles, edges, fixtures to paint around. There's also no window for sunlight/air....so a small job for $25 turned into this tedious project. Luckily, the house is new so none of the walls needed repaired or to be primed (it's never been painted). I kept reminding myself of that and how lucky we are.

We taped and outlined the first day and painted with rollers the second day. Exhausting and then I needed to tackle a HUGE pile of ironing. I think ironing is one of my least favorite chores. It ranks right up there with food shopping :0 After that I re-organized our Christmas decorations in the basement. Chris went through our yearly household bills/paperwork/legal documents and shredded/organized everything (thank you, Honey!); and of course earlier in the weekend I had a photoshoot. Overall, very productive weekend and I'm pleased with the results.
The color is "Sunkissed Yellow" by Behr.
