NFP

One of my blogger friends reminded me that it's NFP awareness week, so I wanted to do a little post about it. NFP stands for "Natural Family Planning" and basically it's a natural method used to conceive or postpone having children. We have used it for both purposes and it's 99% effective. No pills, hormones, chemicals or devices that harm your body or the environment; just observing your body's patterns. It's not the same as the calendar or rhythm method, both of which are NOT as effective.  Here are some links that may be helpful if you want to learn!

Click here for basic info or to register for classes/home study packet.

Click here for a free chart if you'd like to start practicing.

I've gotten questions about it in the past and don't mind sharing, so if you have any questions don't hesitate!

  3. I've been doing NFP for eight months already! I am a different woman because there's no hormones messing with me, I can actually enjoy sex and I'm not even pregnant yet!! LOVE IT! I want to write a post about it soon!

  4. I read the taking charge of your fertility book and it is great! I have to say, I am LOVING NaproTechnology and the charting method it uses. With working nights, the temperature taking was not a reliable indicator, also my hormones are a mess, but the Napro chart has been spot on every time. It is such a part of my daily routine and it's just as easy to remember as taking a pill every day, but without all the side effects. We LOVE it!

  6. NFP is the way to go! We have been completely successful at not conceiving and believe we will be successful when we want to. I have never been on any form of birth control and will never go on any. Reading my body is extremely important to me.

  7. The Creighton Method (Napro Techonology) is another great one too Ania! I wish they offered it in our area.
