35 Weeks

I feel relieved I've made it this far. Whatever happens here on out the baby should make out fine. About 3 weeks ago I started getting serious contractions again. The scary thing is that they really hurt and resting/drinking a lot of times won't get them to stop. My OB wants me to come in if I get more than 6 in an hour. It's happened a few times, but I didn't want to drive 45mins to the hospital and lucky they didn't get worse.

I've accepted that I will most likely have the baby in September and I'm okay with that. This time I'm prepared. I've packed my bag, the nursery is all ready (clothes and accessories are in drawers), I picked up a pack of newborn diapers, registered for the hospital and Chris will be setting up the cradle tonight. I had maternity/family pictures taken this weekend at the Hershey Hotel by one of my photographer friends and can't wait to share them!

The rest of the house is in order too. I updated the boys' baby books, donated a bunch of books we no longer need, transferred Christopher's old winter clothes into Andrew's drawers and put together bags of clothes to consign. The only thing left to do is pull out the infant car seat and sell Andrew's car seat, so we can purchase a smaller one.

  4. I'm impressed by all that you've accomplished in your house! I can't even manage to hunker down and study for a test I have tomorrow... Good luck with the eager little one, who so desperately seems to want to come out and greet the world!

  7. I am due October 2nd! It's funny as the time get's closer I find myself getting more and more excited and trying to get those last things completed. My husband I finished our baptism class last weekend and scheduled our baby boy's baptism (we are Catholic). We figured once he was here that getting all that complete may not be where our mind is.

I think I will feel more relieved once I hit the 37th week because he will be considered full term. I too have been having contractions but luckily no more than three in an hour, though lately at night it does seem to be very uncomfortable. This is our first so we have nothing to compare it to.

I hope everything continues to go well with the end of your pregnancy and with the delivery of your new little blessing.
