1st Hair Cut

Andrew got his first hair cut this weekend! He doesn't have much hair, so it was more like a trim around his ears and face. In keeping with the tradition I started with Christopher, I took him to Kids Kuts for his 1st hair cut.
He cried and seemed really scared, but was distracted by the kid's movie they had playing and pressing the buttons on the Lighting McQueen car chair he was sitting in.
They gave a certificate and saved a little piece of his hair. A fun place, but they are pricey so I only go there for the first hair cut.
We also moved him into the "boy's room" with Christopher. It's going okay...they are taking awhile to fall asleep and getting up early, but it's gradually improving. Andrew is growing so much lately: potty trained, bed, and hair cut. My baby boy is growing into a little boy and I'm finding the whole experience bittersweet.

  6. Awww! I remember your post about Christopher's first hair cut and how grown up he looked. I can't even imagine how bittersweet it all is. You're happy to see them being proud of themselves, but miss the earlier stages too. I remember sharing a room with my sister. We never out grew the talking late, but the waking up early faded with age ;)

  10. That's a great tradition!! I always love looking back at my "baby" books and comparing with my siblings. Most of us were blondies as wee ones, but have brown hair now.
Great photos! And great idea for a kiddos barber!
