Nursery Tour

Evangeline moved into the nursery this weekend and to prepare for that I added some pink touches here and there. Everyone asked if we were going to change the alphabet themed bedding that we chose for our first baby. We did not because our intent with picking it was for it to be gender neutral. We plan on making the guest bedroom a "girl room," so we're saving towards that and making what we have work with a few updates.
I painted these letters
Little tea set
Night stand
Mobile
That's her room! You can view more rooms in our house at the "home tour" link above. I'll be adding more rooms soon. We're getting living room furniture delivered this month, you can see a sneak peek of some of the things we ordered here and here.

    1. It's Stanley Young America. You have to search for local retailers.

  5. I love how you are displaying her beautiful dress, baptismal doll, and the tea set! You know how I love the classic feminine touches. You are going to have so much fun decorating the girl room when she is older. Have you been peaking at girl bed furniture yet? I will be staying with white furniture, yet I have not yet decided on what style. I am thankful I did not get my girls their big beds yet, as they simply would not fit in the rental we have while we are here in CA.

    1. Yes, I'll be sticking with white furniture. I may take a few pieces out of the nursery for her room. Maybe the night stand or hutch. The walls will be pale pink and I want a whole shabby chic/vintage feel.

  7. Very pretty! I love feminine but I love multi-colored, and you've mixed the two well. :)

  8. I love the gender neutral nursery! That is exactly what I want to do, but I think I am going to go with hues of greem! It's my favorite color and goes great with white and pink for a girl and white and blue for a boy!

I read your comments as well and love your idea for pale pink walls and shabby chic/vintage feel! My walls were pale pink growing up and I love them! My dad did a bright pink base and then took white primer and brushed it over. In the end I had white brush marks with pale pink peaking through. Great texture!

  9. Our LR and den furniture came last week, we LOVE it even though the chair/ottoman for the LR have to be reordered b/c they were upholstered in the wrong fabric. I heart PB, it's dangerous! Can't wait to see it.
