Tupler Technique: Week 4

After 4 weeks (the marks on my skin are from the splint, noting permanent)
This week was so encouraging for me! I notice a difference in my tummy's appearance and I'm not just seeing things because my family agrees. My upper gap feels nearly closed. My mid still feels like it's at 1.5, but I feel a section of it coming closer and it's only about a finger tip deep now. My lower still feels the same.

This week I started double splinting (both wearing and holding a splint) while doing the exercises. I also started the head lifts. I'm pleased with my progress so far, but hoping to completely close the gap before our trip in May. I'll post before and after pictures with my real camera after 6 weeks.

    1. You really have to dedicate yourself to it. I've made this program one of my number 1 priorities. It works though!

    2. Marjorie - Great job! Sounds like we started the program at the same time, I just started Week 5 today, 3/15. Took front/side pics at the beginning, end of week 3, and end of week 4 and the visual changes are very noticeable, even my family says so! Results after week 4 were very encouraging for me, too, I think the double splinting must kick things up a notch.

You're so right, that you really have to dedicate yourself to the program. I haven't missed a beat since starting and it's sooo worth it. I've had my diastasis for almost 13 yrs. now, just discovered what it actually was and this program and am so thankful I did!

      Keep up the good work!

    3. Deb, how wide was your diastasis? It's nice to know someone else is on this "journey" with me :)

    4. I did the self-test and, if I'm correct, I was a 2 at the top, 4 in the middle, 3 at the bottom when I started. I haven't done measurements again yet, was going to wait until end of Week 6. The numbers don't lie but eyes can play tricks on you---I'm so psyched for this to work that I'm almost afraid to measure!

There's no one certified in this program in my area but I'll be out of town on business next week and may be lucky enough to get an appt. w/ one of the gals on Julie Tupler's website. She'll do an "official" belly check for me, etc. I can't wait!

  3. Loog good mama! Hard work pays off and if you and your family can both see a difference, then it is totally working. People that see you daily generally don't see much of a change because it's gradual, so the fact that they see a change is a great sign!!! I'm so happy it is working for you! Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
