Easter 2012

I don't know how other bloggers can get their pictures up so fast! I'm only now getting around to posting our Easter pictures. I'm trying to keep up!
We spent Holy Saturday baking and dying eggs. I know what you're thinking, "Who has their hair so nice while baking?" I had to get a new driver's license and I dread going there. I planned to go Holy Saturday since Chris had off and I figured, who would be there on Holy Saturday? I was right too:) In and out of there in 5 minutes. It was pointless to do my hair though, as the picture came out awful. I even had her take 2 (I'm a pain like that). Oh well, I tried!
We made Ricotta Pies using the simple recipe found here
I got the egg dye and Easter treats for the boys from $1 Tree.
We made it to 7:30am Mass with the kids which was good since it was much less crowded than the other times. Then we went to my parent's house for Easter. They had a little egg hunt and very good dinner!
For your viewing fun, I included another poorly taken picture of me with some of my siblings ;) This was a little better since we were outside....
We had lamb and ham for dinner....
I was addicted to these jelly beans my MIL got from a candy store that are made with no refined sugar, just fruit.
We celebrated Chris' 29th birthday on Easter too (don't you love how I always manage to put a plug in about his age). Haha!

  2. Wow, sounds like an egg-stravagant Easter! Yes, my jokes are corny. Seriously though, sounds like a good time. I'm sure your drivers licence picture turned out great, I don't think you could take a bad photo!

  5. I agree with the above comment! I am so impressed you got your kids to the 7:30 service! I don't have any children yet, but I can appreciate how difficult that must have been. Looks like you had a wonderful day!
