Easter/Spring Pictures

Did a photo session with my kids so that I can update a few frames in our house.
These were taken by the "lake" near our house. It's actually not a very picturesque area; it's right off the side of the road and I think the lake must be polluted, but it suffices for pictures.  Now I just have to manage to get one of them all together...wish me luck! :0

  6. I really like where your photography is going! Whatever you're doing with your post processing is wonderful. Earlier photos had a yellow-y tone (and you're not alone... when I discovered Photoshop Actions I went CRAZY and now I look back and cringe) and right now you're in the sweet spot :)

    1. Thanks! I started shooting in RAW and setting custom white balance more carefully. I don't have photoshop and don't foresee getting it in the future :) The biggest thing I've learned is that good images are made in camera and you should do light editing. I think the yellowish tints I had before were caused by bad white balance and exposure. I hate looking back on my old work too, but I try to remember that it's a testament to how far I've come. I still have a long way to go though!

  7. I love that you share so much about what settings you're using and how you're editing your photos! I've learned so much more about my photography from reading your blog! I use lightroom right now and I'm learning more about white balance and general editing every day.
It's amazing that you say this isn't very picturesque because it looks like you're in a national park or something! Just goes to show that you are a fantastic photographer.
