Christmas 2013

I really enjoyed this holiday season. We were able to fit in so many family activities: Longwood Gardens, breakfast with Santa, the Nutcracker, several parties, Andrew's birthday party, shopping at KOP and visiting lots of family and friends (bonus: no one got sick)!
The biggest change was that Chris could be a part of it all. He didn't have classes and studying as in years past (realizing now how much of life he missed getting his MBA). However, I never got a photography break like I expected. I worked up till the day before Christmas Eve. I'm not complaining; very grateful for business.

Christmas Eve was spent with my family. Dinner, Mass and exchanging gifts with our parents (too many siblings to exchange).

We came home to no heat! We have the Nest system and I guess they can run out of battery power (rare) and shut off? It was so cold in the house, but we carried on with our tradition of reading The Night Before Christmas and setting out a snack for Santa.

Christmas morning was at our house with the kids. We headed to Chris' mom's house that evening. I made a ham and some trimmings there. We exchanged presents. She gave me Uggs! She spoils all the kids too. Chris' dad and his wife were able to join us from HI as well :)

It was such a lovely holiday. We visited friends for the annual New Year's party they have. Now the last of Christmas is cleaned up...only photos and memories remain.
